It's strange... after just a little over a week of eating better my body already feels more at peace with itself. My energy level is beginning to pick up, my clothes fit a tiny bit better, and I don't have to worry about feeling guilty due to over-eating. The only problems I've been having are occasional intense hunger pains that spring up when I'm trying to fall asleep at night and a spontaneous craving every now and then.

I wish it could stay this easy, but from experience I know it only gets harder as time goes on. I'm determined this time, however.

Well, tomorrow starts another week of work, gym class, post-gym class workouts, and trying to be good in the dining hall. Let's hope this week goes as well as the last so that by the time I weigh in this upcoming Saturday/Sunday I'll still be on the right track.

  1. Eating in a dining hall is the hardest thing ever, so good for you! Do you have an idea how much weight you want to lose?

I can't wait to keep reading, you can do it!

  2. Not even a week, but just a few days of eating well makes a big difference!
Best of luck on your journey - there's plenty of support out here in bloggie land to help you.

  3. it does get harder, but you can do it! thats how i feel too, ive done this SO many times but this is it for real. Also, i Love the muffy mcmuffintop- clever!

  4. @ Whitney: The dining hall at my school can be pretty terrible food choice wise, but the worst is when I'm eating with friends. It's so hard to sit there with your bowl of soup and a small sandwich while a friend is going through a plate of pizza, chicken tenders, and an eggroll. I'm getting better at it, though! I'm guessing I have to lose between 40-50 lbs. I have yet to weigh in as I'm currently at school and my scale is at home, but this weekend I'll know for sure.
Good luck to you as well! I'll be rooting for you!

@ Jenn: I'm already so thankful for the support I'm getting from bloggerland - I should have started a blog sooner! It really helps to know there are others out there who know what I'm going through and are there to help. I'll be rooting for you as well!

@ Kelly: Hehe, sounds like we're both in it for real this time. I know we can do it! I'm also glad you like the blog name. I spent wwaaayy too many hours at work trying to think of one, and as I was leaving I passed by a big stack of muffins in the communal kitchen area and then-BANG!-a name popped right into my head.

  5. Ou, me too! I totally feel better after only a couple days of eating well and exercising :)
Isn't it the best, going to bed at night knowing that you've eating well all day? Sure beats going to bed feeling like a cow (which I have felt many a nights).

I'm not going to lie, I really like the feeling of going to bed hungry....

Keep up the friggen fantastic work :) I'll be following you!
